We are looking for a SeniorBackend Developer to join the talented team focused on developing and maintaining Tosibox Connectivity Platform in Tosibox Products & Technologies unit in Finland (Tampere, Espoo or Oulu office).

What You’ll do:

• Craft robust, scalable Java backend system that stand the test of time
• Collaborate with teams of passionate developers, designers and product managers to bring our digital dreams to life
• Dive deep into algorithms, design patterns and clean code principles to solve complex problems
• Engage in the full secure software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and beyond
• Continuously learn and grow, experimenting with new technologies and methodologies to keep our stack fresh and exciting

In addition to your own team, you will be supported by 70+ Tosiboxians across the globe. Your accurate role in the team is tailored based on your skills and preferences.

We would love to hear from you if you identify yourself from some of the following items:

• Proficiency in Java, with a solid understanding of its ecosystems
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• A knack for writing clean, readable and maintainable code
• A problem-solver mindset with a passion for tackling challenges head-on
• Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal English (Finnish is not mandatory) and a team-player attitude
• Experience in working with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of developing software for Linux server environments
• Experience in writing integration and unit tests

And it’s even more awesome if you have:

• Experience in working with Apache Cassandra database
• Experience in using AWS services, Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience in working with distributed messaging patterns such as ZeroMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ etc.
• Experience in programming in other languages such as Python or Go
• Experience in writing scripts with Bash
• Understanding of PKI
